Beyond Form*
a visual system to celebrate the materiality and introspectiveness in the body of work by architect Peter Zumthor.
OBJECTIVE
This project included the task of researching an architect and promoting a hypothetical exhibit of their work. The goal was to refine/expand my process and design prowess in a complex system that reflected yet did not overshadow the architects work.

APPROACH
Peter Zumthor’s work is a testament to the power of simple materials. For him and his architecture, this was often wood or concrete. As a graphic designer, the simplest material available to me is paper. Inspired by Zumthor’s use of materials, I took printer paper and crafted a system that celebrated his body of work while hinting at the beauty of simple shapes and the poetry of light.
